A FUJIFILM PROJECT

CAPTURING COMMUNITY ON CAMERA

THE PROBLEM:

On campus everyone is busy, walking around with headphones in, and in sight of the constant grind: sometimes we lose sight of the little joys in life and lose touch with the people we encounter every day. We lose that sense of community and understanding.

So…

THE IDEA:

In light of the toll that hustle culture can take on our sense of community and fulfillment at UO, I invited people on campus to participate in a photography project dedicated to capturing moments of happiness in their life

THE PROCESS:

I bought a fuji film disposable camera and handed it to someone new on campus every day over 21 days. They were asked to capture a moment that brought them even the slightest bit of joy that day. They returned the camera to me the next day, and the process repeated for the duration of the project.

FINAL PRODUCT - I RECEIVED 17 COMPLETE PICTURES
